My name is Letha Eller, and I have lived in Savannah, Georgia for 32 years. I started this business in May, 2017, in order to combine my passions – beach combing and arts 'n crafts. I scour the river beaches of the low country to find oyster shells of all shapes and sizes. I then create fun, classy, wearable, and affordable jewelry as well as accessories and household items. Items I produce are unique statement pieces that you do not see inundating the marketplace.
Why oyster shells? Besides the fact that they are plenty on estuary beaches, oyster shells are usually ignored and overlooked. I aim to show people that these unique natural resources should signify meaning to us - toughness and strength, calmness in the face of turbulence, and quiet harmony with the environment. They can also become objects of beauty and significance.
