Janis Markopoulos has found joy in creating handmade journals after dealing with long term, unresolved complex grief. Her healing journey, led her to art journaling and creative journaling. She is applying her 25+ years as a crafter and scrapbook creator into a mission to help other dealing with life challenges by creating and displaying her journals for sale at arts and craft festivals. Janis uses many repurposed materials in her journals, such as fabrics, hemp cords for bindings, laces, ribbons, organically dyed papers, specialty papers, buttons, various embellishments, dry food boxes, paper towel rolls, threads, machine stitching, decoupage', dried flowers, watercolors, acrylic paints, and more. Journals have various themes such as vintage romance, celestial, travel, gratitude, gardening, etc. Custom themes available. Janis believes though creating, we find joy and peace as we inspire and help others.
