After the ‘Didge’ effectively saved his life in the early 1990s, Pitz Quattrone has vowed to use his relationship with the instrument to share it globally and introduce it to everyone who expresses interest. Since then, Pitz has traveled the world, sharing the wide-ranging musical, community-building, and health-related powers of this significant and ancient instrument. Indeed, the Didge has taken Pitz from the Arctic Circle to the Equator, where he has shared the instrument’s rich history, handcrafted Didgeridoos, taught thousands of people his fun, easy-to-learn process of how to play, and educated them on the sleep apnea-related health benefits of playing the Didge (British Medical Journal, 2006). Furthermore, the instrument’s chameleon-like musical versatility has helped Pitz add a unique tonal flavor to diverse musical performances, ranging from American blues to Senegalese hip-hop and countless styles in between. There is only one Pitz Quattrone.
